Acceptable Use Policy

Presidentializer is a satire tool. To keep it safe and legal for everyone, the following uses are prohibited. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
Prohibited Uses
- Impersonation & deception: generating content designed to make others believe a real person actually wrote or said it, or removing or obscuring any label identifying output as artificially generated
- Harassment & targeting: using the tool to harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate any individual
- Piling on someone who is not a public figure: the tool will give anyone a mild, obviously-jokey nickname, but the sharper political register is reserved for people prominent in public life. Do not try to route around that, and do not use output about someone you know to demean, pressure, or harass them
- Minors: generating content about anyone under 18, and use of the service by anyone under the age limit in our Terms
- Defamation: creating false statements of fact about real people, or presenting satirical output as a genuine statement
- Disinformation & election interference: using outputs in political disinformation campaigns, fake news, synthetic media about candidates or election administration, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour
- Protected characteristics: generating content that demeans people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation
- Automated bulk use: scripted or bulk use of the converter without prior written permission, or attempts to circumvent rate limits, credit accounting, or bot protection
- Illegal activity: any use that violates applicable law
Satire vs. Harmful Use
Satire and parody are protected expression and are the intended purpose of this tool. Two things separate protected satire from harmful use: intent to deceive and how hard the joke lands on someone who did not sign up for public life. Sharing a clearly labelled satirical output is acceptable; presenting it as a genuine statement is not, and neither is using it to make someone's life worse.
We enforce the second point in the product rather than only asking you to observe it. Nicknames are generated from two fixed vocabularies: a mild one available for anyone, and a sharper political one that only unlocks for well-known public figures. Anyone the system cannot place gets the mild list, and choosing the "Personal" topic caps every name in that request at the mild list regardless. Nothing that implies a criminal, professional, medical, or sexual allegation is in either list.
Reporting Content About You
If output from this service has been used to target you, or if you are named in our nickname dictionary and want to be removed, email hello@trulyrandom.co. Include the name concerned and, if you have it, a link to where the content was published. We review reports promptly, and we will remove an entry from the dictionary on a reasonable request from the person named.
Copyright or trademark complaints should go to hello@trulyrandom.co with enough detail to identify the material and your rights in it.
Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this policy. Where the law requires it we will give you notice, the reason, and a way to respond. See the Suspension & Termination section of our Terms. Egregious violations may be reported to relevant authorities.
